[There was a spiky yellow dog sitting at the base of said tree, staring up at the familiar looking bird. Wondering how long it would take to notice him.]

[And the bird does notice the spiky yellow dog. It's been a while since they interacted face to face, and the bird gets wary for a little bit before flying down to where the dog was sitting.]

[Jolt grinned in response.] Bout time you decided to say hello! Things getting too boring back in Viridian for you? Wanted to follow the party?

[Pidge gives a small huff, puffing his chest a little.] Opposite, actually. There are so many things that still must be done, and Blastoise by himself is extremely worrying. But he told me to see how things are doing here.

[Even though Bulba probably gives routine emails to talk about what's been going on.]

You seem to be in good spirits as usual.

[People usually don't climb trees, at least not in the world Pidge was accustomed to.

The Pidgeot looks curiously at the man.]

At first Pidge ignores the orange jerkface. Only for a little bit.

But we all know how little patience Pidge has; he huffs and takes off the tree, flying down to glare at Char.]

Would it kill you to greet normally for once??

[It was still too cold out for a flower to approach the tree as a flower, but a flower boy approached it nonetheless and scrutinized its branches.]

Since when were you in to surprises??

Who knows? It might. Is that really a risk we're willin' to take?

[Pidge notices the familiar flower boy and flies down to a lower branch. The ground is too cold for his claws.]

Ah... Sorry. I didn't mean to surprise anyone. I suppose my bad habit of being impatient made me forget to pass a message before arriving.

[Bulba beamed up at the bird from behind his scarf and sweaters.]

It's okay! This is a really good surprise!

If it makes it less stressful for me, yes.

[Pidge narrows his eyes. Because really, he doesn't want his feathers ruffled so many times.]

[Pidge returns with his own smile.]

For a second I was worried if I should have given news of arrival. It's always nice to be able to talk face to face like this.

When am I NOT? [Figures that Pidge would just be worrying about things back home while coming here. But that was his way. Someone who could almost out worrywart Bulba.

I have just arrived here. I was planning to visit when the weather warms up a little more, but I must have been impatient.

Things are doing well enough, I suppose. The other members are their usual self. It is a little worrying to leave the gym to them...

Ah... That is true. [Not gonna lie, Bulba's baking is always so good. And thinking about that causes a light rumble from Pidge's stomach. Oops.]

Now that you mention it, yes. I am a little hungry.

[Bulba seemed satisfied with this response, since he was happy to dote on people he liked. The Venusaur held out a warmly dressed arm, in case Pidge wanted a free ride.]

Then you'll be just the right amount of hungry once I get something made for you.

Connor was ace at climbing trees and being a forest boy. He knew not to mess with fauna unfamiliar. This world had shown him so much on that front that it made him more curious than anything. Then he wondered, did he know the English language like the Pokemon seemed to? He learned more of Pokemon day by day, especially since he became in care of one.]

The mentioning of the gym falling apart gets him a little nervous; he ruffles his feathers a little, trying to shake off the thought.]

[Pidge goes a little pale; he takes high pride in his plumage, okay. It took forever to get it back to looking nice after the last time it was burnt.]

He's heard some strange things from Bulba through messages before; he wonders if this man was some sort of strange people who could also fly...]
