I apologize, but I would like to gather some information on exactly where this place is. My name is Ciel and I am a God Eater from the Far East Branch, as well as a member of Friar's special forces unit called Blood. If any one is familiar with any of these terms, please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

[You would see a girl dressed in a gothic lolita dress with corset carrying a large mechanical sword in one hand, along with a large bracelet attached to her wrist. Strange sword and bracelet aside, she looks awfully lost. Her facial expression doesn't change much, but concern and worry can be seen if one were to look hard enough.]

Another person shown up without knowing why? Well, don't worry, you're not alone there. You're in Final Destination City, and in particular, Smash Academy. It's a fighting school.

So there are others who have arrived here without knowing the reason. I see.

A fighting school? Is it a military institute to train mercenaries?

Nnnnot quite. It's a school that trains people who want to be better fighters for whatever reason. I mean, it's also a real school that teaches real classes, but there's a lot of courses all about honing skills. Private school, not a military academy.

A... Private school? [She goes quiet, trying to familiarize herself with the term. It's strange hearing all this, especially the only "schools" anyone around her age knew were of Fenrir's training program as well as other governmental military institutes.]

So one would acquire knowledge other than useful for fighting? [SO WEIRD.]

Yeah, that's right! A well-rounded education!

I take it you don't have things like that where you come from?

We do have a database accessible for all God Eaters that contains various media from the past for us to research for our self interests, but it is only optional. Few of us actually spend time in front of the terminals to research.

It is more essential for us to be able to fight against our enemy, so that becomes our priority.

[That sounded so odd. But at least one thing jumped out at her, and she just had to know.]

Um, this may sound like a weird question for you, but... What's a God Eater?

A God Eater is someone who has the power to fight these beings that devour everything in their path. They have named these beings after gods for their indestructible existence, and those who have the power to defeat these beings, called Aragami, are called God Eaters.

Essentially, God Eaters carry the same powers as Aragami themselves, which is why we have the ability to defeat them, by devouring the beasts with our weapon, the God Arc.

[While she's explaining it, Ciel points to her weapon as well as the bulky bracelet on her wrist.]

Well, that sounds... unpleasant.

So I take it you don't have a lot of downtime...

Unpleasant... I suppose that is one way to describe the situation.

Ah, we do have some free time between missions. Each one of us utilize our free time to do what we like to do. For me, it is researching.

Yeah? What do you research?

I research on creating different kinds of bullets for the gun-type God Arc weapons to better combat the enemies. I have an ability of creating different kinds of special bullets, but it is a recently acquired skill that I myself am unsure of its full potential.

I suppose... you can say I am researching my own skills.

So basically... you're always working, and don't really relax.

[She blinks in surprise; she hasn't thought about that.]

I... suppose so. I have never thought of it that way.

Well then, you came to the right place! No time like the present to learn to unwind a bit!

Unwind... If this will enable to better accomplish missions, I will acquire this skill.

If you're always focusing on work, you'll end up overdoing it, and then you won't be at your best when you're on the job! If you learn to relax, then you can have a clear mind when you need to focus!

Ah... [The captain said the same words before, how could she forget?]

That is true. I must be in top shape when I am called into a mission. Rest is important, yes.
