So... This is some kinda school that teaches fighting techniques, huh? Not exactly my style, but I bet I could get a hell of a lot tougher if I did some training here.

Not to mention a place like this has GOT to attract lots of strong opponents. Heh, can't wait to teach them a thing or two when I smash them into the ground!

...Zero. [Fefnir hesitates a bit. Last time he saw Zero, they were allies, but. That doesn't stop the rush of simulated adrenaline and excitement he feels at the sight of the legendary Reploid, his body visibly tensing up for a battle.]

Well, what can I say? Old habits die hard. I love to fight, and that's not gonna be changing anytime soon.

If you see your Master at the school, tell him this: if I learn he's been back to his old habits, I'll be back.

Yeah, don't you worry about that. Believe me, I'll be keeping an eye on him myself. There's some things I'd rather not see repeat themselves.

[That was fine by Fefnir! Warriors like them didn't need words. They talked with their fists. ...Although they're not fighting right now, but, you know, they have like, an understanding and stuff. At least they do in Fefnir's mind.]

If he turns out to be a threat to humanity again, I'll take down Master X myself. You can just sit back and relax, Zero, and get ready for our next battle.

[Not a face he ever expected to see again, partially on account of being blown to smithereens and partially because of... uh... well, things that had happened when he'd been under Weil's thumb. Little things like firing the Guardians and putting Weil in charge of everything. Yeah.]

[Yeah, he's definitely rubbing that in. Fefnir's clearly more than a bit bitter about the whole 'firing' thing.]

[Ouch. Copy X is pretty sore about how blatantly and utterly Weil used him, so that remark kind of touches a nerve. He straightens up immediately, looking down his nose at Fefnir despite being waaaay shorter.]

[However Fefnir feels about him now, all those years of loyalty and subserviance are kinda hard to shake off, and he needs to remind himself that he's pissed before he starts apologizing.]

[By now, Fefnir's fist is clenched tightly around his oversized buster, half tempted to take a shot at him right now, only holding back due to lingering respect for the person he once served.]

The Master X I served would never do any of that, and I've got no idea who you even are now.

[It stings to be reminded of the way Weil betrayed him, but it stings twice as much when he's being called out on his actions after Weil pieced him together. ...Fefnir doesn't trust him. His own Guardian doesn't trust him.]

Do you really think I would change my mind that easily? You must have seen how the Eight Gentle Judges changed after Weil gave them his "upgrades." All Weil wanted was absolute power. You don't really believe he rebuilt me completely unmodified, do you?

[In hindsight, it was kind of obvious that was probably the case. Of course, using his head isn't exactly Fefnir's strong point, preferring to act first and think later.]

Figured someone as tough as you would be able to resist that, but alright. I'm willing to give you my trust, Master X.

[Something about his tone and the way he's looking at him makes it pretty clear though, that his trust isn't going to be quite as absolute as it had previously been.]
