[Any air of smug asshattery dissipates as he takes on a much more serious and professional look. After all, despite being very into the glory aspect of the job, at his core Hayato does find genuine satisfaction in helping someone's life improve.

Having Hajime put it like that, it all seems... kind of bleak. Unless he's just trying to intimidate him and make him go home, which is not happening, sorry.]

What efforts have the Yuuhi made so far?

[All rivalries aside, some things are just more important. Hajime had been quietly praying for more help to come, and though he really would have preferred anyone else, nothing will get better if he lets pettiness prevent forward movement.]

A student-run cheer squad has been put in place, so any and all who wish for a venue to support their peers have a place to start. It's fledgling but its members are noble spirits.

[Just because the civilians here don't have spirit abilities like the Ouendan back home doesn't mean that a show of support, after all.]

There was an... attempt to make a stand, against the corrupt and careless who have been put in power, but the movement was quashed.

[It occurs to him that Saionji on the staff is a potential improvement, and that's just plain sad.]
