A new idol sensation!

It had only occurred recently, but almost overnight the streets rumored of a new pop idol. Describing someone who would fit in under the meta-humans that attended the school, some were a bit wary and yet still curious. Soon enough however, you'd be able to see who exactly they were talking about in small clubs or cafes. The woman had a very alluring energy about her and her personality was befitting of the cheery and popular music sensations. Fox features could easily be seen and the nine tails swaying behind her only added to the fun environment that seemed to permeate around her. Playful, friendly and a total tease, it seemed like she was very well liked whether young or old.

After her performance she ventured back unto the streets, now in her more natural colors instead of the bright pinks, it didn't seem like she minded all the attention that followed.

The funny thing about Pop Idols was how quickly fans of one could become either great fans of another or bitter haters, angered at the spotlight being shifted from their teenie-bopper pop star du jour.

Sonny was almost NEVER in the second camp.

He was a true Beiver Believer, of course. Justin was his favorite artist of All Time. All time. But still, Ahri was a definite talent and he loved her songs!

As she walked past one café, she might have heard some familiar chords being strummed on a Ukulele. Sonny was sitting outside, trying to practice her most recent hit. Not terribly, either - he was getting way better at playing by ear. It wasn't like he had sheet music for her songs or anything!

So, if she'd be interested in chatting with a fan who was trying to play one of her best songs while eating way too much cake? Here's her opportunity.

One of her songs being played, and not by radio, did indeed catch her attention as she passed by. First her ears flicked and stood attention as they picked up the tune and it caused her to pause. A smile rose on her face and she made her way to the cafe as she looked for the source and once finding it, she sauntered over with a cheery disposition.

"Hey there~!" She greeted.

"Hello!" Sonny replied. He didn't recognize her at first, because she wasn't wearing her stage getup or anything. No bright pinks or blonde locks. She was super pretty, though! And she had all those tails - maybe she was a Ninetales?

"I hope my playing wasn't bothering you?"

He didn't think so, but if she was trying to have some quiet time, he could just concentrate on all his cake.

"Of course not," Ahri began as she took a seat on the nearby table. "By all means, continue. It was nice~" she mused.

Had he not figured it out? These kinds of things always excited her and she smiled. She'd give him some 'backup' singing if he continued. See how he reacted.

"Oh! Thank you!" he replied, a little surprised that she liked it that much. "I'm still learning it on the Ukulele, but I've been listening to it non-stop for probably a week, haha!"

It was true. Just ask his roomie.

He started to strum again, taking it from the top. He put a little more effort into it, being as he apparently had an audience now. It wasn't perfect - he was still comparatively new to the instrument as a whole. But he was doing his best anyway!

We all had to start somewhere right?!

Ahri didn't mind it at all and would sing as best as she could to match his pace. It was pretty pleasant regardless.

Strum strum strum and... wait...

He kept playing. But his jaw grew a little slack as he heard her - really heard her - singing along. That voice and those tails and that pretty face and...

"...ohmigosh it's YOU!?" he said. Though, he finished the song first because freakin' professionalism, man.

Ahri was amused by his outburst and it was precisely what she was hoping for. Of course she finished alongside him because it would be good to please a fan. Once they finished, she offered a light clap and a smile before nodding.

"Mhm, it's me. Nice to meet you," she giggled.

"I can't believe I just played a song with you!" he admitted, sounding pretty excited. Hey, he'd helped save Justin Beiver's life this one time. But they'd never done a piece of music together.

"....do you think maybe I can get a picture with you?" he asked, poking at his phone and suddenly sounding pretty shy. He was usually pretty boisterous, but he also wasn't used to asking things from people who weren't family. And maybe he was pushing his luck by asking the super mega giant celebrity who had just deigned to sing a song with an inexperienced ukulele player for a favor? But if he didn't at least try, he'd be kicking himself later.

Ahri had to chuckle. "Yes, yes you did. And it was fun." she admitted.

Now her wannabe 'managers' would be screaming their heads off by her just singing with someone, let alone giving freebie pictures, but considering she hadn't signed on with anyone just yet...

"Sure! I don't see a reason why no." Moving over to sit besides him, Ahri waited for him to get the phone ready.

"Oh-Em-Gee! Thanks so much!" Sonny said, getting his phone ready and leaning in juuuuuuuust enough that they were both in shot, but not close enough to like... invade her personal space. (Hey, he didn't want to be creepy or anything!) before snapping a nicely framed selfie. He was doing a thumbs up, like a total goof.

"My friends are never going to believe me without this!" he said with a laugh. "Hey, would you like a piece of cake? I have plenty!"

Probably, being as she was a star and all that, she'd say no. They were always watching what they ate, right? So they didn't gain any weight or anything? But it was only polite to ask, and he DID have a nice selection. Coffee shop cakes were like pringles - you could never stop at one even though they were way more expensive than they needed to be.

On her side of things, Ahri winked and made a signature hand gesture at the time of snapping the picture before smiling at the outcome. "That's a nice one, mind if you send it over to me?" she asked as she pulled a napkin from the table and scribbled her number real quick.

At the offer however, she thought for a moment. "Can I save it for later if I pick one?" she asked.

"Oh, sure!" he said, kind of amazed that she'd want to keep it - she probably had a billion better pictures with a billion more interesting fans. But he wasn't about to complain! It took him just a few seconds to pass it along to her number.

"There! Done! And of course - you don't have to eat it right away! Cake is best when you enjoy it when you want to. There's nothing enjoyable about eating a cake when you're not ready."

He was probably the only man in this world or any other who could have made that sentence sound serious and earnest and not like he was trying and failing to be funny.

Ahri giggled, "Sounds like a plan then." She looked between her choices and when finally seemed to have decided on one, she wrapped it up and asked the passing owner if she could please have a small box and bag for her sweet.

"So, are you a local or?" Or another poor sap who just happened to end up here.

Oh woah - she actually wanted to hear him talk about himself? Pfffft! This had to be some kind of joke, right? Someone was somewhere hanging out with a video camera or something? One of those TV shows like candid camera?

"Well, I go to the school! Smash Academy? But I'm from Kanto, originally? I came here with my family a few years ago! Most of them are gone, now. They went home or off on other adventures. But I love going to school and I love this city, so, I'm staying here at least a while longer!"

"That school, hmm... I've actually been considering going there you know." she said with a bright smile as she tapped her lips. "It'd be a good place to learn more about this place I think, wouldn't it?"

Afterall, humans went to school to learn no?

"Really? You would want to go to school!?"

But she was already a Pop Star - what did she need to learn about other stuff for!?

"....if you want, I could show you around? You can see if you even like it there? I mean, you can always learn more about this place there, sure! And lots of other places, too. And all different sorts of people, as well!"

"Of course! Like I said, it seems like a good place to learn more about things in this world." After all, even in Valoran she didn't know everything she wanted to know, so she wasn't going to skip on this world.

The offer brought a smile to her face. "You would? That would be really kind of you. Are you sure it wouldn't be a bother?" she mused, though her more mischievous side was more than happy to be escorted around.

"A bother? No way! I actually enjoy showing new students around and letting them see where all the important things are? It's nice for them, I think, to have someone friendly give them a hand on their first day. And I would be especially happy to help you! I'm a really big fan so, it's kind of like you're doing me a favor, more than the other way around!"

"Aren't you simply a sweetheart" Ahri stressed as she leaned over and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. "I think I might have lucked out. Getting a kind guide like you is just what I needed to get a feel for that school."

"Huhuh - Oh wooooow!"

So, no, OK, he hadn't been expecting a kiss on the cheek from a super pretty pop star today.

"I can help! Easily! I know where everything is, so, it's easy!" he said, quite visibly excited to be that useful.

"Hmm, I think you'll do nicely then. Whenever you're ready, just toss me a text. I gotta handle some arrangements this afternoon, but I'm free after that." she said with a light laugh. Apparently it was very easy for him!

It was easy for him! Plus, he had no idea what else to say because his most recent Pop Idol had just kissed him on the cheek and was going to be spending time with him later like they were friends or something. That's a lot to internalize, as well as having to find something to say with his mouth? He's not that good of a multitasker to begin with...

"OK! I'll send you one! I'll see you later! have fun doing your stuff this afternoon!"

In a moment, he'd probably remember he hadn't even given her his name.

"Always have fun~" she replied with a wink as she stood. "See ya later cutie."

And with that, the pop idol sauntered out of the place and continued to her destination.

Haha oh wow she just called him cutie.

Excuse him while he pretty much died of blushing. Internal cheek hemorrhage.

"B-Bye!"
