[So for whatever reason assume you're wandering around FDC. One of the shopping districts that's stuffed full of old-fashioned stalls and carts with people trying their level best to get you to STOP and BUY right NOW.

Wandering through this wonderland of SHEER AMAZING is a little guy who think's this must be Hyrule Castle Town (because that's where he was supposed to be going even though no one gave him any directions on how to get there)]

Excuse me... um miss? Sir?

[And he's trying to get someone's attention because he really needs to know where to find this Princess the Deku Tree told him to find.]

[Deku Tree. Castle. This kid was obviously lost. Link shakes his head again.

Yeah, that was helpful.]

[So very helpful. His face fell and he looked down at his feet. After a moment he looked around, as if expecting someone else to show up. When they didn't, he moved over to tug on the edge of the older man's tunic.]

Maybe you saw a fairy? She's small and blue and glows.

[Another long pause as Link considered this. He knew of someone who could fit that description, although Fi definitely wasn't a fairy. Really, the only fairies that Link knew of were a pleasant shade of pink- not blue.

He shakes his head for the third time.

However. He'd seen all sorts of people in the city. A blue, glowing fairy certainly wasn't out of the question.]

... Have you tried checking the Academy?

[breaks_pots]

[Link shook his head.]

What's that?

[heroflegend]

The school.

[Link nods towards the direction of the fighting school, not far from the city. It was worth looking into, he thought. It's where he'd been looking for his Zelda, anyway.]

[breaks_pots]

[Link looks in the direction indicated, though he couldn't see the building from here. Not with the city in the way. Only... he didn't know that. So any of the buildings around him could be the school, couldn't it?]

What's a school?

[Another pause. This kid obviously wasn't from around here, and he definitely wasn't from Skyloft either. At least that explained why he looked unfamiliar.

Link shrugs. A school is... well, it's a school. Link proves to be pretty unhelpful once again. But...]

You might find your fairy or your princess there.

[breaks_pots]

Okay.

[He reached up and attempted to take the man's hand.]

Show me the way?

[He still didn't know what it was, but if the Princess or Navi were there, then that would be great.]

[Link takes the boy's hand, squeezing it lightly.

Sure. I'll take you.

Without saying anything, he leads the kid out of the old fashioned alley of carts and into the heart of the city. The architecture and the overall feel of the city is still odd to Link, although he's beginning to get used to it. After a short walk, the gates of the school came into view.

Link motions to the gates with a nod.]

[Link followed along, skipping occasionally to keep up with the longer strides of the other man. His eyes were on everything, memorizing their path as much as he was taking in how massive and busy the place was.

When they got to the gates of the school, Link looked in confusion from the man to them. They reminded him of the gates in front of the old ruins in the Lost Woods. The ones infested with Deku Scrubs.

The ones he'd had to fight the wolfos all by himself to get past.]

Do I have to fight something to go inside?

[Link shakes his head again, and brings him closer to the entrance. He releases the boy's hand and calmly unlatches the gate. It swings open, inviting the two of them in. Link gestures for the blond to go first.

Nothing to be afraid of.]

[He wasn't afraid! maybe a little

But the man had been helpful so far. He'd at least gotten Link to someplace new and that was sure to be helpful in some way! So he headed in first as asked, continuing to look around.

Now would be the time to smash the gates closed and cackle]

[Link followed the boy inside, kicking the gate closed again once he was on the academy's lawn. He gave the blond an expectant look, then past him towards the clearly-visible cluster of buildings just ahead.

Still need my help?]

[breaks_pots]

[Link looked between the buildings and the man, pressing a finger to his lips in thought.]

Do you know which one I should look in first?

[heroflegend]

[Link paused, inspecting the details of the buildings from a distance. Honestly, he couldn't tell them much apart. His guess was as good as the younger boy's. He responded with a shrug.]

Whichever.

[breaks_pots]

Oh. Okay.

[He looked the buildings again, hitting his boots on the ground one after the other as he continued to debate internally.

When he finally settled on one, he turned back to the man and gave him a wave.]

Thank you, Mister! It was nice meeting you.

[And off he jogged to the nearest building.]

[Link saw the boy off with a wave of his own. He waited until he was some distance away before calling out at him;]

[He sincerely hoped the boy would be able to find his princess, his blue fairy, and the castle he was looking for.]
