I understand your fondness for sick jokes, Togami, but this is low even for you. Me being sentenced to death would imply I've committed a murder, something of which I have no recollection of.

There are wars in every reality, Togami. I'm sure you're well aware of that.

However, if you are referring to the city itself, I should warn you that there is a rather large state of unrest currently going on.

I assume Monobear isn't involved.

That assumption would be correct. From what I've gathered, the unrest has something to do with a peculiar drug going around while tensions between humans and nonhuman are escalating.

Someone from the school has already been murdered...or so I've heard.

That's nothing new, at least not for us. It still sounds like a much more peaceful existence then where we came from.

It's not the action alone that's troubling, Togami. What's unnerving is who was murdered.

[He stares at her, waiting for her to elaborate. However, he still manages to look incredibly bored.]

Honestly, I would have said the exact same thing. As it turns out, however, ghosts are quite real. Or, at the very least, they're quite real in this city. From what I've gathered, one of them even attended the school as a student. She was the first victim when the violence first broke out.

I shouldn't have to tell you just how serious it is for someone to kill something that lacks the ability to die.

Nothing is as it seems, Celes. You should know that as well as most by now.

It's impossible to kill something that's already dead. Did you ever think she might be somehow involved with the chaos in the city?

But if you say it's impossible to kill the dead, yet nothing is as it seems, wouldn't that mean it just might be possible after all?

Perhaps I did, though it's not as if it matters now. Any involvement she might have had most likely perished with the rest of her.
