Well... no, unfamiliar was the wrong word. He was definitely new to the school, that was for certain. Yet the red reploid couldn't help but feel like he recognized him...? His memories held no answers though, as incomplete and patchy as they were. It was just a feeling. The vaguest of feelings...
But even that was enough for Zero to stop mid-step to stare.

Well, the robot knew his name. That confirmed his suspicions - but he still couldn't remember who this guy was. Having someone who potentially knew more about him than he knew about them always set Zero on edge, and that defensiveness showed in his voice.]

[Zero tried the word out on his tongue and found it strangely fitting. Like it suited this kid. That only made him feel more frustrated, knowing that such a huge gap in his memory was standing right in front of him - though his expression was as cold and flat as ever.]

Still, his gut feeling didn't warn him against the kid in any way - this guy was gung-ho, but still earnest and well-meaning. It felt like he could trust him... no, it felt like he did trust him.

[If anything, this body was probably a bit weaker than before. He frowned, internally cursing whatever scientist designed this sleeker, smaller form. This was exactly why he didn't trust getting armour upgrades.

That's the thing! I was supposed to start on my first day as fully licensed Maverick Hunter but instead I found myself in this weird world! As far as I know there weren't time-traveling devices being made in my time, so I have no clue how I got here!
