Look out FDC, there's a zombie of the loose! Don't mind that she's incredibly adorable and cheerful or anything, really, don't... Chances are she's already tricked and conned you into doing just what she wants! That doesn't stop a select few from already warning the proper authorities.

Can't a girl just appreciate your brain? With some sauce on the side? And a good coffee too!

"Hey now, I didn't say that!" Shantae told her, handing over the coffee. "Just because I wasn't expecting you doesn't mean I'm not glad to see you!"

At one point in time that wouldn't have been true. After what she had done to Shantae's family a while ago, she didn't think she'd ever be happy to see Rottytops again. But her last adventure gave her insight into the zombie girl's mind that changed her opinion. She was determined to give her another chance and try to be her friend.

"How long have you been in town? I can show you around!"

Rotty took a long sip of the coffee and smiled. "You mean it?" she asked cheerily before beaming at her. "I'm really happy to see you!"

A lot had happened in the past between them and Rotty felt horrible for having fallen for Risky's tricks and for what she did to Shantae's family but... She really did mean it when Shantae meant a lot to her and she'd do anything to keep their friendship.

That didn't mean she couldn't have fun though!

"Just got here actually! I'd love that... but I'm really tired..." Teehee...

"Oh!" Oh she was falling for it again. Of course she was.

"That's okay! We'll take a raincheck on that. If you need a place to crash, I can take you back to the dorms at the academy," she explained, gesturing towards the large building. "I guess it must've been a long day for you then!"

And if she had to ask? It wasn't going to happen so Rotty practically jumped unto Shantae's arms and nuzzled her face against her neck.

"I'd love that! A good rest would be wonderful and I'd love to catch up on what you've been up to here."

Shantae pouted a bit. So that's how it was gonna be, huh?

"You are SO lucky we're not on Spiderweb Island right now, missy," the genie told her as she started to carry her back to the dorms.

Rotty pouted right back and hugged onto her. "Aww, don't say that. I... I can get down if you want, just thought I'd slow you down is all..."

She sis smile at her. It was clear she was at the very least, extremely happy to be with Shantae.

Oh, that smile... Shantae couldn't argue with that look. Rottytops loved to throw her off-balance with harmless pranks and intentional fibs. Letting out a sigh, she kept right on carrying her. "Just hold on tight and we'll be there before you know it."

Same smile that she sported all the way now that Shantae carried her through.

"Thank you!" Teehee.

When they finally arrived at the dorms, Shantae had to use her feet to open the doors as she carried the zombie through, and she only set her down when she got to her door. She had to get her keys out after all, and she quickly let them inside. "Here we are, my home away from home!"

"Whoa," Rotty voiced as they got to the school, then the dorms and finally at Shantae's room. Giving her another tight hug before moving deeper into the room, Rotty took her time looking around.

"This place is nice!"

"Yeah, it's not half bad here," Shantae said confidently, hands on her hips. "You know, if you start going here, you can get a room just like it," she added.

"Really?!" she asked excitedly. "Wait a minute, for free? What's the catch there Shantie?"

Because she'd learn the hard way that there's always a catch... Sometimes very unpleasantly so.

"You mean aside from taking classes here?" she asked. "Weird stuff happens around here, but aside from that there's not exactly much of a catch. It's like they let just anyone go here!"

"Ooo wierd as in fun wierd?!" she hoped aloud, clasping her hands together and smiling.

"Or wierd as in bad stuff?" Cause she could handle that too! Maybe! Sort of! Shantae will handle it for her!

"I've honestly seen it go both ways," she remarked. "People turning into weird things, cursed mistletoe that makes you kiss people, memory swapping..."

"People turning in fun wierd things?!" she's looking at you Shantae.

"Or just baddie stuff? Oh! The mistletoe sounds great though!" snicker snicker, teehee...

"Memory swapping does sound like bad news though..."

"It's kinda like... You know how I can turn into animals? Kinda like that except you can't turn back for like a week," she explained. "I haven't had it happen to me, but I've seen it happen to other people. But at least that kind of thing doesn't happen often!"

"I see you getting ideas there!" Shantae warned the zombie. She knew what that look meant. "They only show up in winter before holidays."

"If you could change before, why not change again if you get that? Then again, I don't think many people can change at will like some." she added tapping her chin in thought before shrugging and laughing a bit at Shantae's next comment.

"Awwww, and here I thought we could share a moment~" she teased. "In due time I guess! Heeheehee."

"It hasn't happened to me before," she explained. "And not everyone has my abilities! So it can be tough for ordinary people."

She laughed a bit at the comment, and placed her hands on her hips. "Well, now that I know your plan, I'll know to look out for it!" she retorted.

"Aww don't be such a spoil sport! Or!" she grinned mischievously, moving up to Shantae.

"We could smooch now and you wouldn't have to look out for anything! Hee hee!" Other than more smooches!

"Yeah, I'll pass," Shantae said, shaking her head. "But if you promise to behave, I'll let you stay here until you can find your own place, okay?" she offered her friend.

"Awww, so meaaaan Shantae!" Rotty mock pouted and pulled the puppy dog eyes.

"I guess I'll take that as a secondary prize... But someday! Someday I'll get ya!"

"It's always good to have a goal," Shantae replied with a small laugh. "But yeah, we can have a slumber party tonight, and tomorrow figure out what to do with you!"

"Woohoo! Slumber partyyyyyyy!" she cheered and pounced Shantae with a hug.

"I'm really happy to have shown up here. And that you're here, with me!"

It was an awkward hug at first, and Shantae took a moment to return it, hugging Rotty back. "Yeah... Me too. I didn't realize how much I missed you all while I was here."
