(no subject)
{Scenario A: awake}
[ A tired-looking girl with a dark expression wanders the campus, holding a book wrapped in chains. On closer inspection, the girl's hands are purple with red nails. Some new style? And the book appears to be kind of... bloody.
Maybe you could ask what she's doing with it. Or steer clear of her. That might be a good idea too. ]
{Scenario B: dream}
[ The same girl is now running, still looking a bit lost. This time, she has no book in hand... or claw, rather. Now she's purple all over with some stitches, except for her hands which have been replaced with two blood-red claws on each hand. They look sharp enough to stab and tear and kill anything that they touch.
And she looks ready to do just that. ]

Scenario B
These are mysteries the solutions to which we may never know.
Knuckles, deft leaper that he is, jumped to the side in time to let her sprint past.]
Geeze, lady - No runnin' in the hallway. You wanna knock into someone with those things? You'll put somebody's eye out.
no subject
She turned to him, claws facing downwards. Guarded, but not hostile. Not yet.
Curious. They've not spoken before.
[ Then she turned and kept going, heedless to his instructions. Poking somebody's eyes- and guts- out is exactly what she's meant to do, if she's to escape this damned nightmare. ]
no subject
[He said without a hint of self awareness considering he'd just referred to her as 'lady' like four seconds ago.]
Where you goin' in such a hurry?
no subject
Without stopping: ] Towards the end of this dream, wherever that may be. [ Why was she talking to monsters, anyway? It's not like they cared about anything more than tearing her apart. ]
no subject
[Because Knuckles wasn't asleep.]
no subject
[ Fed up with the chatter, the girl skids to a halt and turns around... and at a high speed, lunges at Knuckles with claws extended. ]
no subject
[Quick dodge to the left and... huh. A few red hairs sail towards the floor. That was WAY too close for comfort.]
The heck ARE you, lady? Psychopathic Librarian or somethin'!? Don't see no signs around telling me to be quiet!
no subject
What am I? I am very irritated by your presence!
[ Damn, she missed the lunge. Time to step back a bit and recharge. ]
no subject
[He was actually grinning at this point.]
Apart from those toothpicks you got stuck to your hands, you don't look so tough. You sure you wanna do this?
no subject
[ She was smiling-- no it was more of a grimace, but it was for the thrill of the kill. The book often whispered of blood sacrifices. In this form it was simple to acquire them-- they didn't have to be human, after all.
The girl raised her claws and lunged once again. ]

[Knuckles ducked into a ball, revved in place for a second, then zoomed away a little bit before jumping onto the wall and sticking there.]
You look pretty whole to me for someone who's apparently seen that kinda damage. And for the record? Nothin' about this is gonna be easy. Leastways, not for you.
no subject
The girl wastes no time running at the currently-still echidna to aim a stab. ]
no subject
[He dropped from the wall, but not quick enough to avoid her attack entirely - he felt her sharp claws slice through the bristles and skin on his shoulder.]
And people say -I- got an attitude!
[Still. He was in close, now. He aimed a punch at her gut. Not full power, of course - he didn't want to kill her. Even if she COULD be resurrected or whatever.]
Scenario A
Excuse me... Are you lost?
no subject
[ A pause. Actually, she could use some help, so she stopped and recanted her typical moodiness. ] I'm looking for the closest source of water. A deep one.

[ The clawed girl grew more irate by the second, wiping at an itch on her face. Scratching it wasn't exactly an option right now. ]
Take me to this lake you speak of.
no subject
Okay... It's this way.
[He lead the way out to the old kraken lake, where some of the debris from the Egg Carrier still dotted the landscape.]

[ The girl walked towards the lake, wading in up to her ankles. She made as if she was going to throw the book into the water, but paused-- this wouldn't nearly be deep enough to get rid of it. ]
... Where are the boats you spoke of located?
no subject
I dunno... Might be they're not here, thanks to the crash... But I can still get you out there.
[A flash of light and Rock had suited up in his blue armor. Equipping the Magnet Beam, he aimed his buster towards the middle of the lake and fired a beam of solid energy, creating a walkway out into the lake.]
There, that should do it...
no subject
So that left him here, what a peculiar child.
He noted the book, covered in blood. The red and purple hands. To say he was a concerned adult would be an understatement.]
Are you alright?
no subject
[ Then she sighed and dropped her shoulders. ] Just point me to the nearest deep body of water, and I'll be able to take care of myself.
no subject
There is a lake deep into the forest, do you know where it is?
no subject
[ You know how tweens are. No manners, always mad about something or other, slowly metamorphosing into eldtrich abominations, you know. ]
Is there a path I could follow on my own, or must I rely on the guidance of another?
no subject
I visit the lake regularly, I know exactly where it is if guidance is what you seek.
no subject
[ The sigil on the book let out an unearthly red glow. She noticed this and tried to cover it with her arms. ]
no subject
It is not far away, on foot it will not take very long.

Parts of an airship are still here but here it is.

The girl walked out to the lake's edge until the water was above her ankles (which wasn't very far, as she was only 13). Reaching back, she hurled it as far as she could (again, not very far) into the water. But it was still visible just below the water's surface. Her face turned to a grimace as she waded out further. ]
Accursed book...
