{Scenario A: awake}

[ A tired-looking girl with a dark expression wanders the campus, holding a book wrapped in chains. On closer inspection, the girl's hands are purple with red nails. Some new style? And the book appears to be kind of... bloody.

Maybe you could ask what she's doing with it. Or steer clear of her. That might be a good idea too. ]

{Scenario B: dream}

[ The same girl is now running, still looking a bit lost. This time, she has no book in hand... or claw, rather. Now she's purple all over with some stitches, except for her hands which have been replaced with two blood-red claws on each hand. They look sharp enough to stab and tear and kill anything that they touch.

And she looks ready to do just that. ]

Good. Lead me there.

[ The sigil on the book let out an unearthly red glow. She noticed this and tried to cover it with her arms. ]

[...Noted. Connor turned and glanced towards the forest. He tried to give a blank expression, but he now had 150% of his guard up. He pointed onwards, and started moving toward said direction he pointed to, leading the way.]

It is not far away, on foot it will not take very long.

[ The clawed girl said nothing more, opting to follow Connor's lead. ]

[He started leading, making sure he took a few glances behind him so she knew he was paying her full attention. The forest walk wouldn't be long, and soon enough, the lake would be visible. There was still debris from Eggman's airship from months ago, but the lake was there and was ready to be used with discretion.]

[ An airship... such a thing sounded fantastical to her. But she could investigate later-- she had a mission to attend to.

The girl walked out to the lake's edge until the water was above her ankles (which wasn't very far, as she was only 13). Reaching back, she hurled it as far as she could (again, not very far) into the water. But it was still visible just below the water's surface. Her face turned to a grimace as she waded out further. ]

Accursed book...
