[ You may be on your way somewhere, when you step on/trip over a large, prone object. That object is a girl with cat-like features such as a tail, ears (covered) and paw prints on the hands of her coat. She complains, pitifully but loudly (so you can hear her): ]

Meoooowww... I'm so huuuungry, I could die at any moment, meow... *cough cough* Please, bring me foooooood...

[ She didn't actually cough, she said those coughs. Hey, it's worked before, surely some other poor sucker will give in. ]

[Would you look at that? A spiky haired guy with long ears was walking by carrying a bag of beef jerky. But wait, what's this? A cat girl begging for food?

Jolt looked back and forth between her and his bag of jerky several times. On the one hand, she was in need. On the other... he was hungry. Decisions, decisions...]

[ Tsk, Jolt. Idle hands are the cat's meow! Or something like that. Tao pauses her caterwauling to sniff the air, then jumps up to latch onto Jolt. Waaaay too close for comfort. ]

MEOW! You, yellow guy! You have food! Share with Tao, won't you meow?

[Why was this cat girl who just showed up out of nowhere latching on to him like that? And why did she have such a strong grip?]

If I give you a piece, will you get off me?

[You know who one of those poor suckers is? This woman right here. And having tripped over the cat-like thing and hearing it's plea, Mona can't help but spring into action.]

Yikes! Hang in there a little longer, Mona's got you covered!

[ The cat-girl languishes, draping a paw over her head as if unable to bear gazing upon this cruel world that starves Kakas. ]

Oh, woe betide meeee-ow! Tao is doomed to starva--

[ She abruptly removes the paw from her face, leaving two red circles staring up at Mona. ]

Wait, what?

[With a squeak Mona takes a step back to catch her breath. She expected to see a cat-like face under that hood, not two red eyes. Unnerving and weird as this thing is, Mona won't let it's hunger wilt it away to nothing. That would just be cruel and heartless, especially when this creature (if even that, just what was this person, if even a person at all?) could potentially be a mere passerby, or likely a promising future student.]

Um, you were bellyaching for some food just now, right? I can run to the cafeteria and bring back some chow to eat, no sweat! You'll just have to bear being hungry for a little while longer.
