[My goodness, what an entirely odd situation. There looks to be a girl with... rather canine additions approaching the gates, wagging her oddly long tail as she walked.

... Wait is the end of that said tail a freaking paintbrush? UH YEAH, yeah it totally is! Why, this isn't a girl at all! ~~I mean it is but you know what I mean~~ It's a pokemon with a horribly poor disguise of a pokemon!

And what's this?? She appears to be...

Singing?

Actually that sounds incredibly familiar, almost as if two vehicles could be flying across a cliff to this soundtrack.

Nah. That's just silly.

But she is singing and she is rather elated looking to be standing on this property again. Yehaw. She's completely friendly and despite the fact that she's kinda wearing a spiked collar, she's just shy of five foot and actually uh... she looks about as intimidating as a marshmallow with a toothpick sticking out of it. Oh well.]

Uh.... huh. Can't say I've ever heard of either of those... I didn't even know there were other beast-people! Besides manaketes, anyway.

I'm not surprised you don't know what I am, though. I mean, I am kind of the last taguel left... Which is, basically kind of a race of bunnypeople.

Aaand... pretty much, yeah. It's, uh... it's been pretty hard. I have to be SUPER careful all the time so the Taguel don't end up going extinct.

[Crossing her arms, she glances up at him, pouting slightly.]

Yeah no kiddin'... I know if I was the last Smeargle in the world I'd be as careful as I could be as well. At least you're safe here! I mean I've been kinda beaten up for various reasons but if I'm remembering correctly... no one's died!

[... fumbles with her collar for a second.]

I mean that wasn't already dead.

Yeah... being able to turn into a huge, fire breathing dragon would be way better than a rabbit.

[He lets out a loud sigh, thinking of how much more protected he'd be in fights if he were a dragon instead.]

Nowhere's really 'safe'... even in normal life, people die all the time! I could slip down some stairs, or get heatstroke on a hot day, or get attacked by a swarm of bees, or... lots of things!

And that's not even getting started on just how much more dangerous the fact that this place teaches fighting makes it! Training accidents happen all the time!

Shhhshhhhhh... That's no way to live life. Sure, there ARE dangers about, but that doesn't mean that you have to fear every little thing! I mean, heck, I'm an artist! There's a ton of things that I could die from, but I still make art!

And if you don't want to take the fighting classes, you don't have to. I didn't when I was weaker and younger and it worked out for me.

When I'm the last of my race, it does!! If I slip up, or make the slightest little mistake, then that's it! I'm dead, the taguel are extinct, and it'd be all my fault for dying!

[This is obviously a very important matter for him, and one that causes him no small amount of stress. He's kind of a nervous wreck, really.]

And besides, the taguel are supposed to be good warriors, and I've already gotten into tons of fights before. I need to take every chance I can to learn to defend myself better.

[it all dawns on her now, and in a way she really does sympathize with him. Her ears lower a bit, frowning.]

Then you will have to take the classes, but... honestly? You really don't need to worry. The professors are professionals, they know exactly what they're doing to train us as safely as we can to be as safe as we can in the world.

[Placing a hand on her chest, she nods to herself.]

And I have faith that you won't be the last one! An entire race's extinction will not be happening at this school! Mmhmm!

...I'm still not too sure about avoiding extinction, though. I mean, even IF I don't get killed somehow, in order to not be the last one, I'd have to-

[Yarne realizes just where that line of thought is going to lead, and immediately cuts himself off, coughing awkwardly and looking away.]

[Giggle. She's totally blushing. ~~and totally not acting 14 again.~~]

Yyyyeah... Which means, you know, having to find a girl like you, that'd do... that thing...

[A brief moment of silence passes, before Yarne realizes what he just said.]

I-I mean, not... not like, YOU, specifically, I mean... I'm not going to ask you to help repopulate my species or anything! I barely even know you!!

[Look at that awkward silence. Look at it. Incredible.]

I um. No offense, dude but ... you should process those thoughts better before you let them out. I mean, I do it all the time myself but... wow.

[Yarne just kinda groans a bit, and leans down until he's at her height.]

[AND SUDDENLY HER HANDS SLAP ONTO HIS CHEEKS. Not too rough, though! She's better than that. However, holding her hands firmly, she looks him dead in the eye.]

AGH!! [Rough or not, he reacts like someone just tried to kill him, jumping nearly a foot into the air and leaping away from her.]

[Those eyes are just rolling, she slowly lowers her hands and frowns.]

I didn't hit you, you baby! My hands are only sorta rough because I have pawpads on them, calm down...

Yeah you did... I mean, I guess it didn't really hurt that much, but... it was still hitting me!

[Yarne shivers a bit, apparently now kind of scared of the tiny girl after she's attacked him.]

I really can't, though... I've tried before, but all I can do is worry!

That's the same as tapping someone's shoulder to get their attention and calling it punching them in the shoulder, the way you're making it out to be.
